Andy’s Wild Birthday Bash was a family-oriented community day featuring multiple activities, such as a live animal show, art programs, a scavenger hunt, and a letter-writing campaign. The event was free to attend, so there was no cost barrier for participants, and the program effectively engaged a diverse audience, especially youth and families, by catering to different interests.
To expand family and community program participation
The event attracted 158 participants, exceeding the typical attendance for nonseasonal events.
The program was effective in attracting community members, as many were encouraged to visit while they were already downtown. Consider having staff hand out flyers, creating a personal connection to the museum through marketing and outreach.
