The Fellows Program began as a three-year pilot initiative designed to create career pathways for historically underrepresented groups in the arts and to explore new models for fellowship roles in museums. In fall 2024, we launched the program's third and final year. As a result, we are no longer placing fellows at new locations, and the program will sunset upon completion of the current fellows’ appointments. Please check back here or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
A similar opportunity is now available through our . During Phase 2, each lead museum hires two term positions — a project manager and a collections care apprentice — to support the cohort project for its duration. The apprentice is an interdisciplinary role that begins with a 10-week, hybrid training in conservation and collections care, which is provided by Ki Futures before placement at the lead museum.

Partners hire fellows to work at their museums for three-year appointments. Each position is connected to substantial, multiyear Art Bridges programs—including major initiatives like the Cohort Program and Partner Loan Network—and depends on the capacity needs of our partner museums.
In addition to ongoing professional development, the Art Bridges Fellows travel to Bentonville for annual gatherings as well as a monthlong residency and orientation in their first year.
