Ursula von Rydingsvard’s 2014 rzeski is a three-part solid form constructed through a laborious and repetitive process of cutting, carving, and gluing pieces of red cedar that is then burnished with graphite. The pieces of two-by-four-inch cedar beams allowed the artist to diagonally carve into the surface of the sculpture, recalling a brisk and refreshing breeze that the Polish title alludes to.

Support
Art Bridges covers all costs to prepare and ship the artworks to the borrowing museums. Learning & Engagement funding supports multidisciplinary programming, interpretive materials, and community outreach.
