There is no limit to the number of artworks a lender can submit to the program.

What types of artworks are eligible for the Partner Loan Network?

The Partner Loan Network accepts artworks of all mediums. We require that the selected artworks be stable enough to remain on view for the entire loan period. Our team reviews all submitted checklists and provides any edits or feedback. Not all submitted checklists are guaranteed to be accepted into the program.

Can individual artworks be selected?

No, a borrowing institution must take the grouping in its entirety.

Can a borrowing institution request more than one grouping?

Yes, borrowing institutions may request as many groupings of 3–7 artworks as they would like. Groupings can be from different lenders.

Are borrowing institutions required to display all the artworks in a grouping throughout the loan period?

Yes.

How long are the loan periods?

Lenders must lend artworks to the program for at least two years. Borrower loans last for two years per grouping.

What happens if a grouping is not placed?

If Art Bridges is unable to place a grouping during the agreed loan term, the loan will still expire at the end of the term.

Can a lender offer a new checklist every year? Is there a limit to the number of times an institution can lend?

There is no limit to the number of times an institution can lend works to the Partner Loan Network.

Can a lender request that loans be returned prior to the end of the loan period?

Can a lender also borrow works from the Partner Loan Network?

Yes, lenders are welcome to borrow works from the Partner Loan Network or participate in another Art Bridges program. They are also eligible to apply for Learning & Engagement Awards to activate these loans.
