Founded in 2017, Art Bridges creates and supports programs that bring outstanding works of American art out of storage and into communities. Art Bridges partners with a growing network of more than 230 museums of all sizes and locations to provide financial and strategic support for exhibition development, loans from the Art Bridges and its partners Permanent Collections, and programs designed to educate, inspire, and deepen engagement with local audiences.

About the Position

The Cohort Coordinator, a new role, will be instrumental in supporting the development and implementation of the Foundation’s Cohort program. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the Cohort program, including scheduling, logistics, communications, and data management. The Cohort Coordinator will work closely with the Cohorts Program Manager and the Director of Cohorts to ensure the smooth operation and success of these programs, playing a key role in fostering collection sharing, innovative exhibition and program design, and collaborative partnership building.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with partners to ensure alignment and progress on joint initiatives as a first point of contact for routine inquiries, scheduling, and program updates.
  • Coordinate the logistics for Cohort meetings, workshops, and other related events, travel arrangements, and participant communications.
  • Assist with research and identification of potential new Cohort partners.
  • Maintain and update program records, databases, and other relevant documentation.
  • Support the development of program materials, such as informational packets, handouts, and presentations.
  • Track and report on program metrics, providing insights and feedback to improve future cohorts.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Cohort team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; e.g., Art History, Public Administration, Business, and Museum Studies.
  • 1-4 years of experience in an administrative, coordinator, or similar role, preferably in the arts, nonprofit, or cultural sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, additional experience with CRM systems and project management software a plus.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Interest in the museum field, with enthusiasm to learn about organizations of all sizes, types, and locations. Previous experience working with museums or cultural institutions preferred but not required.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, in person role. Our Flexible Work Policy allows an option to work one day per week from home between Tuesday and Thursday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

Physical demands: Occasionally, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to travel independently, regionally, and in communities served. This position requires working at a desk and utilizing a computer and a telephone for prolonged periods of time and good eye/hand coordination, bending and stretching for filing, and physical stamina to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of at least three feet for art materials storage and preparation and as appropriate for the demands of the office. Visual acuity to review written materials is required for this job.

Work environment: Work will be performed in an office environment, museum spaces, and in communities served. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required. The noise level in the office is usually low to moderate.
