Jordan Ann Craig
Sharp Tongue; It Hit Me Hard and Soft
Jordan Ann Craig is an Indigenous artist whose large-scale paintings reference her Northern Cheyenne community. With vivid colors, recurring patterns, and interwoven forms situated in grids, her work explores and celebrates Plains material cultures, including beadwork, drawings, and textiles. By creating paintings on canvas, Craig questions how we consider the history, context, and influence of these abstract vocabularies.
