Georgia O'Keeffe
In the Patio IX

About

In the Patio IX is the final work in Georgia O’Keeffe’s celebrated In the Patio series. Developed between 1946 and 1950, O’Keeffe used her Abiquiu home to render the New Mexican landscape into harsh contrasts of light and color. This angular abstraction differed from her renowned floral compositions, marking a major turning point in her career.
