All of us at Art Bridges are thinking about our partners and the challenges you’re facing regarding the coronavirus/Covid-19. We’re continuing to monitor CDC.gov and local and regional health authorities, and we urge you to do the same. Above all, please stay as safe and healthy as possible.
We will continue to support you and your decisions as you adjust schedules or postpone events in light of the current situation. Art Bridges is up and running and operating as usual, and we’ll let you know if that changes. Now more than ever, access to American art can play an important and unifying role as our communities face these challenges together. In the meanwhile, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

David Hockney: 15 Canvas Study of the Grand Canyon
David Hockney, 15 Canvas Study of the Grand Canyon, 1998. Oil on canvas in fifteen parts, 68 in. × 67 in. × 2 1/2 in. Art Bridges Collection.
David Hockney’s 15 Canvas Study of the Grand Canyon is currently showing at the Memorial Art Gallery (Rochester, NY). Visitors of all ages are engaging with the work, from second graders in the Rochester City School District to those participating in Meet Me at the MAG – an innovative tour designed for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and their caregivers.
University of Rochester students are also engaging with the work, especially those enrolled in a 21st Century Art Museum course. The students are reinterpreting the gallery spaces with this painting in mind, and in doing so, inspiring the museum staff to think differently about their work.
The artwork will be on display at MAG through the end of 2019.
