All of us at Art Bridges recognize the unprecedented financial challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and museum closures. In an effort to support our partners during these uncertain times, Art Bridges is launching the Bridge Ahead Initiative, which commits $5 million to help our partner museums remain in touch with their audiences during this period and to prepare for reopening in the months ahead.
Art Bridges partners with an annual operating budget under $30 million are eligible for funding through the Bridge Ahead Initiative.
Funding will be distributed in two phases following a simple application process.
Phase 1 supports development of digital or print strategies to engage and connect with partner communities remotely while museums are shuttered.
Phase 2 provides support as museums prepare for reopening.
How to Apply
To apply, Art Bridges partners will fill out a short application outlining their needs and goals as they transition to create distanced, yet meaningful, connections and thoughtful spaces in this time of COVID-19.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis beginning Monday, May 11, and will continue until all funds are disbursed. Institutions will be notified of award approval, or need for a follow-up conversation.
